“PASSIONATE, SOPHISTICATED AND DEVOTED TO LIVING THE GOOD LIFE”—Lonely Planet, Spain is a country of diverse landscapes, incomparable art and architecture, where food and wine are national obsessions and life is a fiesta to which everyone is invited. Start in Madrid—the heart of España—with a guided tour of the Prado museum. Next, we'll visit the Moorish city of Córdoba, and tour the Mezquita, a glorious 8th-century mosque. Explore Seville, the Andalusian capital, and its immense Gothic cathedral. With at least 300 days of sunshine and an average temp of 65F the Costa del Sol (sunshine cost) is replete with world-class beaches and resorts. Next, it's on to Granada to tour the famous Alhambra—an immense hilltop palace of the Moorish sultans— before traveling through the picturesque Spanish countryside to Valencia where we’ll stroll Old Town and taste horchata. Our holiday ends in vibrant Barcelona, where a guided tour brings us to Gaudí’s La Sagrada Familia.
