The Travel Club heads to northeastern Italy on this new visit to The Veneto, a delightful blend of culture, history, and stunning natural scenery. The Veneto regions offers a rewarding experience with iconic cities, beautiful landscapes, medieval and Renaissance architecture and artistic heritage. Our eight-night stay is in charming Castelfranco Veneto – a walled medieval town that provides a tranquil and authentic Italian experience – whose historic streets are filled with shops, cafes, and local markets. Enjoy an excursion to Treviso – a canal town like Venice – with the flavor of small-town Italy. Next is Asolo – a hidden gem called “the hundred horizon town” for it’s wonderful panoramic vistas from its hill-top position. We’ll spend a full-day in vibant Verona with well-preserved Roman architecture (!) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site historic center. Next, it’s time to visit Venice for a half-day guided tour and free time. How do we describe Venice?: romantic, historic, picturesque, unique, atmospheric and captivating. We’ll venture into the stunning mountain range of the Dolomites with their distinctive, jagged peaks and the lush valleys, alpine meadows and cystal-clear lake that surround them. Enjoy lunch at Lake Misurina and visit the beautiful resort town of Cortina D’Ampezzo. In Bassano del Grappa we’ll see the famous covered bridge and taste the strong grappa liqueur at the Nardini Distillery. Our experience in the Veneto concludes with a visit to Villa Sandi – a stunning Venetian villa dating back to the 17th-century – surrounded by enchanting landscaped gardens and adorned with statues. Our wine experience starts with a visit to the underground galleries followed by a tasting high-quality prosecco. This will be followed by a cooking class in the elegant restaurant of Locanda Sandi followed by dinner.

Hotel alla Torre resides in a prestigious and noble building from the 1500s, fully renovated and expanded. Our structure is in a central area and just a short walk from the train station, the hospital, and other main services. The location is strategic, as it allows you to easily reach the most famous parts of the Veneto region as well as other unforgettable destinations.
$3899 Prices are LAND ONLY per person based on double occupancy. Single supplement is $610. Triple accommodations may be available upon request. Please note that this tour includes a guided walking tours where you can expect to encounter hills, uneven surfaces, cobblestone streets, unpaved roads and stairs. Participants should be able to walk for extended periods, typically around 2-3 hours a day and stand for long periods during the guided tours.
