THE ANCIENTS WERE RIGHT! ROME IS THE ETERNAL CITY and its 3,000-year heritage is evident on every street of this historic and cultural masterpiece where modern life blends with the antiquities of a lost empire. By member request, we've chosen accommodations at the Hotel Medici (an elegant 19th-century building)—just a short walk from Rome's Villa Borghese Park and Porta Pia, an area full of local restaurants. While our independent programs are designed for you to experience Rome on your own, we have a few suggestions! Don't miss the Borghese Museum—the art, the gardens and the building are extravagantly beautiful. Head to the Campo dei Fiori outdoor market at Piazza Navona—buy your wine, bread, cheese and enjoy a picnic as you people watch. We've included "jump-the-line" tickets for the Vatican Museum. (Tip: mail your postcards from inside Vatican City for the unique stamps and postmark.) The weather in November is perfect for sightseeing and you're likely to encounter more Romans than tourists! You'll also discover that the historic treasures of this immense open-air museum go hand-in-hand with Rome's more tangible pleasures—legendary cuisine, cutting-edge fashion and shopping!

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR DEPARTING AND RETURNING TO THE U.S.
All passengers are required to complete the DPLF Digital Passenger Locator Form (https://app.euplf.eu/). We will be sending out specific instructions for this form as we get closer to departure.
The following link provides additional helpful information: https://ambwashingtondc.esteri.it/ambasciata_washington/en/sala-stampa/dall_ambasciata/ingressi-in-italia-dagli-usa-e.html
Currently masks are still mandatory outside, on public transportation, restaurants, museums and attractions. This may change by October as vaccination levels increase.
Negative Test Requirement
All airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel. Alternatively, travelers to the U.S. may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel.
We have made arrangements for our group members to get tested at a local lab with minimal interruption to the tour schedule. The lab will deliver the tests to our hotel. The cost of the test is to be paid by the traveler at the lab. The exact date and price will be included in your final documents.
We will continue to provide updates related to mask and test requirements as we get closer to departure.
Please include the trip name and departure date in your message.
